EPIC OF TURKEY

While still a student in an Atelier Ağuş started receiving invitational callings from his own home country, Turkey. Paying close attention to these callings Ağuş understood that after learning the principles of painting he needs to pay a visit to Turkey. Not knowing why he started planning and working towards to be able to go to his country of birth. It has been 10 years since last time he was there.

Ağuş and his wife Chiara took this calling very seriously and sat down to create Epic of Turkey project.

Epic of Turkey is a Grand Tour. The artist and his wife will travel the country with a small van visiting more than 40 cities and 150+ areas, painting the most important landmarks, ancient cities, daily life and doing genre paintings. The whole tour of traveling is non stop for one and half year. The artist's goal is to rediscover his home country through painting it therefore discover a part of himself. By looking at his home the artist sees.

Epic of Turkey will end with artist's solo show in summer 2022, show casing more than 100 paintings.
